This is not related to scala but I want to ask one senior guy always comes to me and ask me for status of my working asking me to commit anytime is that alright?
You are stuck with micromanager. Do not take it too much to heart. Work hard, learn a lot, be humble, get out if you feel you are ready and it is ruining your life.

Or may be you are a junior and the guy is trying to help. Do not have enough context.

You should give distage a try. So, you may say make[Map[String, Int]].fromValue(Map(...)) and be sure that your map is a singleton

Wait? He _needs_ your files? Could it be that you are using version control system with locking such as Microsoft SourceSafe or IBM ClearCase instead of more conventional choice such as git?
