Have tried somethings with sbc like raspberry pi but not with any microcontroller so far...is it worth it? Do you have something in your mind?

yea there are lot of stuffs already for raspberry pi
+ "is it worth it?"
- micro-controllers are cheap, need much lower power(so if we plant them, there will be more time we don't need to check them again and recharge their battery pack) and because of their cheaper means we can have many of them in a single project
also it's obvious that working with them to build a sdr project (if possible) needs more time and (generally speaking) deeper skill.
so i'm curios if some one in this group has already done some sdr stuff with a micro-controller :)

- well yea but it's a raw idea, so i prefer first gather some information for it and then share it in this group. maybe there will be some partners to do it :)

i think the issue would be processing power, rtl-sdr can capture raw data and often it requires some level of processing power to convert this to something meaningful. i dont think microcontrollers will be up to that task

yea that's exactly what i think can be the bottleneck
but maybe with a lower sample rate we can do something meaningful !?
some mid range micro like atmega32 can operate in 16MHZ, so maybe an efficient program can do something!? there are some people out there who made a simple logic analyzer with this atmega and arduino stuff! so maybe some one tried some thing meaningful with some micro things! even a failed thing :)
also there are more powerful micros like STM32H7 (32 bit /operates in 550 MHZ single core / 480 MHZ dual core). so maybe there is more chance for them to do something!

would have thought that would not be an issue not with the new pi4 range.. I have one thats running a media server, a weather station, a wifi hotspot, two cameras(in via usb), Various indoors sensors. a 3d printer (all at the same time) and then using it as a desktop... The older pi ranges will stuggle but the pi4s are as good as most desktop pc's now...

Yes pi wont be an issue, but here its about micro controllers so that might be an issue not sure though i need to dig into it
