It's always better ask direct question you have

Can anyone here please tell me what does transmit (p) does here

Looks like function that's call object (p) over and over. Check definition or description transmit(p) above your book.

We need Robotic operator and Warehouse/Facility manager
They are not ASIC/FPGA jobs

Yes. Sorry.

Out of curiosity, what kind of jobs require ASIC/FPGA skills? I've heard that FPGAs are used to make more reliable and easily adjustable computers for space applications, but other than that I haven't heard of FPGAs being used for other than education and prototyping.

Hello everyone, I'm reading about MTBF in fpga and in the formula of MTBF the time for metastability settles is in numerator, which means, that the more this time the better MTBF we have. But how does it possible? The more time for metastability I need the more time I need to wait my design work properly
May be there is another explanation what Tmet means?

Metastabilty duty may be consider as time when the ball is standing on the peak of the mountain, before fall down. This time isn't determined and can be from zero to infinity (theoretically)

By adding more dlatches  you reduce the propability of your ball (signal on the output of dlatch) get stuck on the peak (unstable condition,  ie metastability)

Thank you for your answer, but my question is about why when I make tMET larger (see pic.) my MTBF becomes also larger
