I see. When I read about Matrix event propagation/eventual consistency that shares some characteristics of a blockchain, i thought it's a good idea. But to make online chat independent of public infrastructure such a system needs supernodes or automatic proxies..

Oh, CJD, you love C-like languages, did you hear about that? Russian developer from NL is writing a new language without GC, it looks like a mixture of Go and Rust. Publish source code in the middle of the year.

A different project. I think we will start just from deploing new homeserver and a new client (like Riot)

In a short term we will focus on simply payment functionality addition and local chats/checkins (libp2p stack) - that will bring business customers to the network (like event organisators and authors with payable subsription). So business will have interest to keep local mesh nodes online and provide his guests free wi-fi access points. And also give us some financing of course ^^'

Then I think we prepare staitless homeserver containers to deployment in any network (probably sonm) and give users opportunity to deploy its own independet homeserver connected to federation and we can use self-sufficiency mesh network as reserve channel of distributed messages. I guess this way it will work
