My guess:
Before or during gear-down selection, they had a HYD G RSVR LO LVL.
That would have led to the following scenario:
On gear extension (between 1680' and 2100' AGL or 2.5-3 min before touchdown). Gear didn't extend. You hear the continuous-repetitive-chime during acknowledgement of a clear-to-land radio call. That CRC is probably "GEAR NOT DOWN" which happens below 400' AGL. Instead of go-around or gravity extension, the pilots manually deployed the RAT, hoping to pressurize green hydraulic system so gear comes down. But with G RSVR LO LVL, the green hydraulic system doesn't pressurize. They wait until the very last moment to go-around, but they wait just a little too long for that gear to come down and they can't slow their descent and start climbing fast enough. They get a dual engine strike on the runway as they are going around. That damages the engines. We then hear that they can't maintain 2000' anymore. The engines are failed at this point.
