These things are more relevant for QRO people rather than QRP. At high powers, you are running the risk of interference problems or blowing the finals in your rig (also very expensive). With QRP, it's more that you don't have much power so you really want the most of it you can to hit the antenna.

If you go on ebay and search for the name of many of the popular full power rigs and "repair kit", you will find sets of transistors to repair blown rigs.
