Please describe your shack arrangements. Which storey is it on, how big is your garden?

I live in a flat, but I have a nice terrace within the flat since I live in the top floor

So, if I can use something there, it's fine. However I don't mind to go outside

And use a big antenna if the performance with smaller antennas is poor and the transceiver is unusable

You would be better off with a balanced antenna as getting a decent short ground for the antenna high up isn't going to happen

You can't run an unbalanced antenna at that height. The 20m wire down to ground will become part of the antenna and make an accidental dipole

No because each half of the antenna takes the opposite polarity and they balance each other out

You need an antenna that doesn't require an earth or one that does with the correct counterpoise for 20m
