Required skills
5+ years of experience coding in modern consumer facing web applications
Strong understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, etc.) and the problems they can help to solve
Knowledge of RESTful API design
Experience with jQuery and Gulp
Experience solving problems in a modern web architecture which includes: CDNs, databases, caching layers etc.
Being comfortable discussing API design with your server-side colleagues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desire to continuously improve the quality of the applications you work on
Focus on creating value for our customers
Level of English: Upper-Intermediate
As a plus
Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
Responsibilities
Implement responsive designs for desktop and mobile web applications
Work closely with product, design, and back-end engineers to implement features
Improve a product used by 250 million people every month
Set the standards for front-end architecture
Simplify and update the current build system
Participate in interviews
Mentor fellow engineers
Have a broad impact on the future and direction of the product
When you are doing software development, you’ll be doing more than just coding a ticket handed to you. You’ll own the design, implementation, and delivery. Throughout the development process you’ll consider testability, upgradeability, scalability, and observability of the applications you’re building.
