Uh, I guess I'll pass then.
After all, it's you who is searching for the community contributors, not other way around;-)

Thanks for your explanation, still. If you'll find the way to address my questions here — those answers are welcome anytime!

I'll write you if I have answers for it. Still I think it doesn't have such issues, it certainly is better than POS and more decentralized.

Can you study code, maybe it would better to answer your questions?

It's the  only available canonical definition around - the source code implementation.

Perhaps that will.
Just that will take disproportionately more time, and there are like million different novel currencies in the field — that's why fight for the developer mindshare typically means explaining you ideas numerous time, via different mediums and channels.

There're significantly less skilled developers in the fields than projects looking for help and attention, as far as I can tell...

Uh, isn't that an anti-pattern?
What would happen if you make an implementation mistake, how to avoid it being "written in stone"?

Yes, but anything what I'll tell you, can be taken, as my interpretation only, and source code is the only "truth" behind it running, doesn't it?
I can say you basic principle rules, and how it works, but other than that - everything is subjective, isn't it?
If you make an implementation mistake, you can correct it, as everything. You can upgrade client, you can plan a soft-fork, even hard-fork, when consensus agrees.

What I said, I'm not a developer, heck not even good in blockchain technology, just some enthusiast, who reads, when he has free time, and have better knowledge than average Joe. But I'm not an experianced user, not an expert. When our main dev leaved Slimcoin in 2014, there was a community takeover in 2015, and from then we are trying to still maintain it and upgrade it, and even though Graham has the most understand in the system, I think he is pointing, to source code, because it's the most objective anwser for it. I know it's maybe time consuming, but why are you on telegram group about blockchain, then ? To chat only? Or to study some real-case projects, and see if it works in real life? There are a lot of project I know, but most of them are scams, ICOs, with purpose of grabbing ETH/NEO/QTUM/LSK whatever, and run away. Some projects, will stay, most of them will go under water. Something not an ICO, is quite unique these days, I must say, or not an airdrop.

More or less yes, I'm here to discuss approaches and algorithms with fellow developers; explain things, if I happen to have an answer, and ask questions if I don't.

I think you should understand that there's a shortage of code- and algorithms-related discussions in the community, and abundance of coding work. That's why this chat is more for the former, and less the latter (if I've read @foxcool's intentions for this chat correctly, and I hope I did...)

"The pool question doesn't bear much inspection - burn txs are associated with the hash of the pubkey - the burn factor is applied to the pubkey, wherever it is in the pool - how the pool divvy up their proceeds is social convention. Why's he even asking?"

"3 is definitely “use the source, Luke” - what does he expect, a narrative description? But at least he made an effort to understand the mechanism."

Well, I believe that discrete bidding games exhibit some really weird behaviors which "continuos bidding" doesn't create: all that High-Frequency Trading voodoo in stock trading it's just derived from the fact that his prices are discrete (so multiple players bid exactly the same price and then compete over some other continual parameter, "getting in the book" time). It wouldn't be the case if the bidding price was allowed to be a float with lots of digits.

I believe that your currency's mode of operation in case of discrete bids would be just "only those who can afford the highest meaningful bid compete over the typical pow block discovery time" — and that's what I wanted to clarify.

Yes, I did expect narrative description. That's how people reason about their ideas, I guess? Explaining them to others and discussing to see if they hold the water?
That's why I'm in this group, at least. There's enough opensource crypto-related code in my life even without it; ideas and opinions from outside my daily "bubble" — that's what is interesting.
