OK, now for the program, here’s what we do:
Candidates apply and we review their resume, cover letter, etc.
We select and screen interview prospects via skype
If successful, we coordinate more detailed interviews by the client directly.
If a candidate is selected by the client, we extend them a job offer to join ectalent as an employee for 12 (occasionally 18 months).
We work with the candidate to get them a U.S. J1 visa
We provide round-trip air travel Russia/USA
We provide all furnished housing, utilities
We provide health insurance
We provide a salary and payroll services (including mandatory tax deductions, etc.)
We provide orientation, assistance with formalities
We provide program management with the client to optimize effectiveness of placement.
All these costs are paid for by ectalent, not by the ECTs!

Definitions:
We don’t use “intern”, we talk about Early-Career Talent, ECT, meaning "students & graduates", instead.
Equally, we don’t talk about “internships”, but about “placements” instead.
ectalent is very interested in considering applications for 1-year ECT placements in the US from top-quality Computer Science students/graduates from MIPT, and we’d like to get the word out and have people start applying. They could be BS or MS students, or may just have completed BS or MS and are wondering what to do next. They should consider a cultural experience year working in Silicon Valley to gain work experience!
Applicants should understand that these are NON-RENEWABLE and NON-EXTENSIBLE 1-year assignments - they are absolutely NOT a good path to emigration to the U.S. - they're bounded-term assignments which provide an awesome opportunity for ECTs to gain industry work experience and an understanding of the special nature of Silicon Valley and U.S. culture. When the assignment is finished, ECTs will take these learnings back with them and apply them for the rest of their careers!
