here. New Feature • Enumeration Improvement (SMB)
• Performance improvements enhance directory enumeration. Directory enumeration lists directories and files outside a top-level directory (TLD). Improvements to the enumeration mechanism results in better performance and browsing and listing operations.
Resolved Issues • Resolved inefficiencies in enumeration caused by SMB directories appearing smaller for directory create requests.
• Some shares became unreachable when metadata disks ran out of space.
• Renaming a file to an excluded file type triggers an antivirus scan.
• Mac clients had issues accessing standard shares using the hostname when the hostname mapped to the same IP.
• NFSv3 clients experienced issues mounting share paths that included symlinks.
• Mac clients were unable to rename a file from lower-case to upper-case letters.
• Incremental snapshot URL unavailability caused HYCU back up issues.
• Resolved issues causing repetitive Kerberos authentication requests.
• Creation of unnecessary NFS sub-mounts resulted in non-native user authentication issues.
• Resolved NFS export read-and-write issues. The mechanism for fetching primary group IDs (GIDs) from Active Directory (AD) experienced disruptions when used with Kerberos and RFC2370.
SMB backups using Commvault paused indefinitely due to partner server creation issues.
