Moira doesn’t support -1 as a timestamp currently. Bad things will happen if you try to feed -1 to Moira.

I recall, I opened up that bug

I'm on BST, so this event reallly occured at 09:23:57 UTC
It occurend on a server that's on MST , hence at 03:23 MST
however...

and I've double checked that our code submits to graphite using Java's System.currentTimeMillis()/1000 which is Epoch in millis, unless I'm very much mistaken

maybe I missed another event being generated, will have to figure that out.

And it's me again. And I would like to talk about Hacktoberfest again 🙂

I surfed through Github looking for issues and I noticed, that lots of projects poorly prepared for the Hacktoberfest.

On the opposite, there is one repository which is beginners-friendly. It is the Mattermost. They have labeled all issues with difficulty/area/technology/etc. They have also created issues easy to grab for the ones who never contributed before. For example, they opened multiple issues to migrate tests to testify: one issue per each go package.

I think you still have time to jump on this train and draw the attention of new maintainers 🙂

по всей видимости, моя проблемы была из-за высокой нагрузки на хост с мойрой. filter дропал нужные метрик. докинул ядер - стало все в порядке

хотя на 4 ядра ЛА был около 4-х

Самое простое - мониторить очередь метрик на релеях, дропает именно он.

У мойры тоже есть нужные метрики, но проблема как обычно - доки по метрикам нет :(

хм. у меня релей льет в графит и в мойру и всегда были дропы. я думал что filter не берет метрики, которые не нужны в триггерах оттуда и дропы

по всей видимости я был не прав. умощнил хост с мойрой - дропов стало в разы меньше

Как я понимаю еще одна причина почему релей может дропать метрики - это кривые метрики, @beevee_ru поправь меня если я не прав. Но основная причина - не справляется мойра. Ну и да, стоит за очередями релея посматривать)
