Pacman is the best and fastest Package manager. If you compare Package distribution system in Arch based and Deb based you will see that: 1) Arch have official repo and AUR. It is enough for comfortable using Linux 2) Deb based have official repo and many many third-party (like ppa). I think it takes much more time to manage packages
Arch based - rolling release sytem of updates. So you can take updates immediately - you don't need to wait next release to keep your system in actual condition.
