Chegg is relying on various infrastructure systems to operate efficiently for our students. We’re building a new infrastructure team in Israel and we’re looking for amazing engineers to join the team.
🛠Technology:
• Java, Docker, SpringBoot
• Anything AWS
✅Responsibilities:
• Design and develop innovative solutions in a microservices and event-driven ecosystem.
• Have a strong eye for operational aspects of platform engineering such as deployment, performance tuning, and monitoring
• Participate in critical technical, and product discussions with leaders across our engineering, product and business teams.
• Ownership of your features entirety; including API design, implementation, automated testing, and rollout.
• Create testable, well-documented code, participate in code reviews
✅Qualifications:
• 3+ years of professional experience.
• You have a passion for platform services and APIs as a product.
• Professional experience operating at least one distributed data storage system, at scale and in a team environment such as MySQL, Elastic Search, etc.
• Experience with AWS platform or similar cloud services -Advantage
• Experience with Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices with Jenkins/TeamCity or similar - Advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent training or work experience.
❗️Important:
1. Be available to be a "on-call" once a week - On-call means: work once a week from 07:00 till 19:00.
During his time on on-call he/she needs to be available to support the system in case of any problems, there is a chance that he will work during all these 3 hours / some time during these 3 hours / wont work at all during these 3 hours, nevertheless, he needs to be next to his pc, and he will get fully paid for these hours.
2. Be available Shadow means that he needs to be available on Saturdays in a range of an hour incase they need his support.
For hours worked during Saturdays he'll get additional payment.
