In a U-turn, the Government has reintroduced a number of measures including a curfew for pubs, restaurants and nightclubs with customers to be off premises by midnight from Thursday.
Publicans are furious at the move and have said it will be “extremely difficult” for the late night sector and “places a question mark” on the longer term viability of the late night industry.
The Government has also said everyone should revert to working from home unless it is necessary to attend the workplace.
The measures put in place are to be reviewed at the end of November, Mr Martin said.
