Да, именно.
В случае с ларой я бы сделал роут, где указал бы что-то типа route::get для формы и route::post для обработки. Где вызвал бы внутри всё что надо вметодах.
А как быть в Эво? Контроллер создан просто по псеводниму шаблона. Нигде нет роутов

В случае когда Вы используете Эво 3.x то нужно делать через роутинг ларавеля.

Чисто технически я могу подключить
use Illuminate\Http\Request as HttpRequest;

Потом в классе уже отдать в  __construct(HttpRequest $request)
А там уже и $request->method() доступен
Но это я наговнокодил от себя

I've been using Modx for many years for an ecommerce site and I love it. I did a major change in the 1.4 code: Images are uploaded to a subdirectory which name is the ID of site_content. In this way editors are not overwhelmed by the number of images. Is there a developer of V3 reading this? Is it possible to integrate this into V3? I would pay for it. Of course I would be happy to show you how I did this.

We use an individually developed shopsystem and we integrated ModX to create a part of the page. Also this feature to integrate ModX as a part of the page of another framework could be interesting to the core of V3.
