I believe this to be wrong. I know a significant number of people who literally learned a language just by reading books and watching videos.
To be huyonest. I wonder why so many people pretend being natives. (o;TωT)o I met a cute Japanese girl. She is only 75% filipina. She calls herself a lipstick lesbian. Her husband is Turk. But she wants to make a baby with someone else. Tbh, people can't be honest even to themselves. As for me, watching TV series is more useful than talking to random people.

It depends on your ability to memorize though we did not learn our native language this way
We actually did, eh? We were listening ALOT and then boom, that's it. But it has nothing to do with the topic anyway, since children learn the language not the way we do
