The tests, carried out in Finland, will be transported on board Finnair’s charter flights to a laboratory in South Korea for analysis. The first test flight will leave Helsinki-Vantaa airport on Wednesday evening. The aim is to facilitate the analysis of 18,000 samples within the next two weeks. The results will be available approximately 48 hours after taking the samples. Tests in Finland are conducted by Mehiläinen, a major provider of health care services in Finland.
The operation, based on 100% private funding, is facilitated by a group of Finland’s largest employer companies in the fields of commerce, finance and export industry, including Ensto, Fazer, Kesko, KONE, Metso, Metsä Group, Neste, OP, TietoEVRY, UPM, Valmet and Wärtsilä.
