Of course there are homosexuals. It has increased slightly in the last 15 years, but it seems to me more related to lifestyle. But still I cannot say that it is as much as the western one

I've been staying for a night at Konya, and a friend I've been traveling with booked a one-bed suite by mistake. I've been quite surprised when a porter carrying our bags took the same elevator and somewhere between floors 4 and 5 literally asked could he join us that night

and it's not like Konya is some kind of flamboyant coastal resort, it's very much an industrial city, and the hotel was targeted at business people on business trips and conference attendees

it's kinda surprising, since by this time it's almost certain that the genetics of homosexuality are not as straightforward as people were thinking just several years ago

basically, people studying this failed to find any obvious genetic correlates to homosexuality

so either this is a really complicated genetic mechanism, or it is in fact significantly affected by environmental factors, including cultural upbringing

eh, we weren't really offended. I've been hit on by gay guys in the past, and I can't say that I'm 100% straight either. while my friend is a really open-minded person

economic power, enough time .. dissatisfaction and seeking .. this is too much in modern societies right now .. I also don't think it has anything to do with genetics
