ну я вот сча на юдеми курсы прохожу, печатаю там и все такое, вникаю, вот думаю, будет ли этого достаточно?
там в торонтовском чатике есть человек, который на девелопера уже тут переучивался, у них там еще митап по выходныи проходит, для поддержки людей, которые в ит хотят, наверное тебе лучше к нему с такими вопросами, у меня нет релевантного опыта для такой ситуации.

У ror как и php я перспектив не вижу. пока еще проектов хватает, но чтобы кто-то новой проект на них начинал...сомнительно, лучше уж nodejs тогда, если языки со строгой типизацией не нравятся.
