Yes! ALT Live is a hybrid ISO. You can copy via dd all ISO-9660 image file to the whole disk drive, such as /dev/sda, and after (!!!) reboot from it repartition HDD.

Я для себя закрыл вопрос с btrfs, когда после двухкратного отключения ноутбука из-за перегрева система больше не поднялась, тк btrfs умерла. Возможно, "после этого - не вследствие этого", но ну его такие эксперименты в рабочее время.

Чего же печального. Просто не самое новое. У нас на файлопомойке крутится давненько. Снэпшоты прокинуты в "теневые копии" через самбовый vfs модуль. Народу нравится, что сами могут предыдущие версии смотреть/откатывать средствами винды
