what I perceive as the main factor for this is whether the speeds used by subscribers are high or low, the cases where you have many sessions in the same box with low speeds tend to consume more cpu.

so, low speeds, from my point of view, would be 20mbps or less, but if you want to use forward speeds as mentioned, it is better to use ipoe
